Lama Jigme and the Centre Culturel Tibétain wish you a Happy Tibetan New Year. May the year 2017, the year of the Fire Bird, be full of peace and happiness for all.

Please join us for a Losar New Year celebration, to celebrate together for the first time at our new center!

February 27, 2017, marks the beginning of the Tibetan New Year, and represents one of the most important Tibetan festivals of the year. The day is calculated astrologically according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, and changes every year to coincide with the annual lunar cycle.

Lama Jigme will speak to us about reflecting on the year that has passed, and setting our intentions for the future – for ourselves as individuals, our families, and the larger global community in which we live. We invite you to hear about the center’s activities and ongoing projects, as well as upcoming events and retreat programs. We will be celebrating with food and drink as a potluck festivity: please bring your favorite food and/or beverages to share!

For those who may have not yet visited our new center at our new location, we warmly invite you. Friends, family, and children are welcome to join us! We look forward to celebrating together as a sangha the fresh beginnings of the new year – may this new year bring auspicious benefit to everyone!
