InterFaith run for a United World takes place every year as part of ING Night Marathon Luxembourg. It is an inter-religious run in which all ordained ministers and representatives of world religions are invited to participate.
InterFaith organizers about the event:
” The aim of this special marathon is to create an international network of running representatives of religions in order to show the world public that religion is not only in the taking place in temples, churches and mosks but to show that various religions have a common goal – world peace. It is also an excellent occasion for bringing together exceptional people with great visions for a better world in peace. In 2010, about 50 representatives of the religions took part in this special project. The oldest participant was the famous 102 year-old runner Fauja Singh. He now holds the Guiness World record in being the oldest marathon runner on the planet!
