When we feel tired and stressed due to too much work and pressure, when we are tense in our relationships with our families and loved ones, we need to learn how to let go and to recharge our batteries. Through meditation, we can discover an inner sense of spaciousness wherein our mind can find its point of rest and problems begin to lose their grip on us. We can thereby reduce our tension and learn to relax from deep within.
The simple and profound technique of mindfulness and awareness is the basis of a secular path of meditation, which can benefit people of any spiritual tradition and way of life. Meditation is an approach to training the mind, similar to the way that fitness is an approach to training the body. This course is open to everyone, regardless of religious or cultural background.
The course is aimed especially at beginners with no experience in meditation. Lama Jigmé Namgyal will offer wisdom teachings on starting the contemplative path of training one’s mind.
These teachings will be complemented by contemplative workshops offering a more experiential overview of meditation practices and will be facilitated by experienced meditation instructors.
