Fear plays a very important part in our daily life, we have many fears: fear of losing, fear of being lonely, fear of being neglected, fear of not being loved etc. Fear makes us uncomfortable and vulnerable, but nevertheless it controls almost every aspect of our life, making us feel insecure, fragile to external situations and lose control of our own mind and the ability to be calm and happy.
However, there are great practitioners that can face fear directly and even make use of the unfavourable conditions to improve their practice. Can we acquire such courage and ability through practicing the pith instructions that they advised for us?
In this talk, we will learn the pith instructions mentioned in Thirty-Seven Practices of the Bodhisattvas, taught by Thogme Zangpo, a great master of the 14th century.
